BrainLinks-BrainLinks to host two-day workshop on Optogenetics

The 3rd OPTOGEN Workshop 2016 on Dec 5-6, chaired by Dr. Patrick Ruther, will bring together the most active technologists and scientists to present recent advancements and discuss future challenges in the field of in vivo optogenetics. Topics include the development of molecular tools, implantable devices, and imaging technologies as well as their use in neuroscientific research and strategies towards clinical applications. The workshop will take place in Freiburg University’s beautiful old Assembly Hall in the city center. It is organized in a single session format with supplementary poster sessions and plenary talks led by outstanding researchers to cover specific aspects, e.g. optical neural interfaces.
