How realistic are science fiction visions of artificial intelligence in film and what do they tell us about our future society? Together with Prof. Dr. Oliver Müller, Professor of Contemporary Philosophy and Technology at the University of Freiburg, n a film and discussion evening we will examine how justified the fears and desires transported in short films of the KI Science Film Festival are. We also ask: What role can science fiction play in ethical reflection on new technologies? The films will be shown as part of the exhibition of the project "Stadtwandforschung: Künstliche Intelligenz und Streetart" (14.09.2019 - 12.10.2019, Mo, We, 15:00-19:00, Sa, 13:00-18:00 ) at Hildastraße 5 in Freiburg.
With KI Science Film on Tour, selected films from the international KI Science Film Festival in the Science Year 2019 - Artificial Intelligence will be presented in various venues throughout Germany until the end of 2019.
