On May 8 and 9, 2015, the mentees from the kite-mentoring program had the opportunity to join an introduction and a practical guide called "Patent, Trademark, Design: Intellectual Property Rights".The Spemann Graduate School of Biology and Medicine (SGBM) offered this course and invited Gerd L. Koepe as a lecturer.The participants got basic information on Intellectual Property (IP) rights in general and patents on technical inventions in particular. Moreover, the course provided a practical guide on how to deal with technical inventions and patenting them in the scientist's professional life.
