Junior research group nominated for this year's "BCI Award"

On September 20, the BCI Award 2017 for the world’s most innovative brain-computer interface project will be presented at the 7th BCI Conference in Graz. A top-level jury selected 12 participants from almost 50 scientific projects. Among them is Dr. Michael Tangermann’s junior research group with their submission „Rethinking BCI Paradigm and Machine Learning Algorithm as a Symbiosis: Zero Calibration, Guaranteed Convergence and High Decoding Performance“.

All twelve nominees will deliver a contribution to the upcoming issue of the influential anthology „Brain-Computer Interface Research“ from the SpringerBriefs series. In addition, the three winners receive a prize money to the amount of USD 6000, which is donated by an Austrian medical tech manufacturer. „The competition is fierce. For us, it is a great honor to be among the best twelve. We are excited how things will turn out in Graz.“, Tangermann sums up his lab’s participation.
