On September 29, cluster-speaker Prof. Dr. Wolfram Burgard has been elected President of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (IEEE RAS). His term of service will be the years 2019 and 2020.
The IEEE RAS whose offices resides in Piscataway, New Jersey (USA), is the most recognized and respected global organization in the fields of Robotics and Automation. The society has been existing for 30 years and today has more than 10.000 members. Its activites include the publication of several highly regarded journals and hosting one of the premier conferences in robotics, the ICRA.
