On October 25 and 26, 2002, there was double reason to be excited: For the first time since the beginning of the Corona pandemic, the whole BrainLinks-BrainTools family could meet in person—and then also for the first time in our own new research building, the Intelligent Machine-Brain Interfacing Technology (IMBIT).

The wait was worth it: After years of moving through different university rooms, we were able to hold our Annual Workshop for the first time in the light-flooded NEXUS Lab, the event space of the IMBIT.

That BrainLinks-BrainTools is a big active community could nicely be seen during the event. After two years of online discussions due to Corona, the sessions were characterized by exciting presentations, lively interest among the audience and subsequent intensive discussions.

Especially pleasing: Among the 83 participants were also our new members to whom a special session was dedicated.

We are already looking forward to the Annual Workshop 2023.
