The Faculty of Engineering and the Cluster BrainLinks-BrainTools are a partner of the Schülerforschungszentrum Region Freiburg e.V. (SFZ)

Researching, experimenting and developing beyond school education - the Student Research Center gives young people the opportunity to pursue and deepen their interest in mathematics, computer science, science or technology.

"We look forward to supporting this exciting and important project for the region through workshops and lectures on topics such as neurotechnology, robotics and sustainability," says Oliver Paul, Professor of Microsystems Engineering and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering. A first workshop was offered by our Cluster Member Prof. Dr. Thomas Stieglitz.

The offer of the SFZ is aimed at students from the region of Freiburg (districts Emmendingen and Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald, city of Freiburg), who attend a vocational or general education school. There are events for children, teens and young adults. Anyone interested in studying STEM topics is welcome.
